yeh popped down to see big Al whilst in the area discussed some stuff and next step will prob be to paint the quarter panel and surrounding bits getting it all uniform again. Hey Al i forgot to ask you bro i got some pretty bad rust in the passenger front foot well when you got some time off think we could tackle it??? in the mean time passengers can flinstone it. I lent the car to my brother for a few days and seeing him roll round in it made me appreciate 10000000 times more just love how it looks rolling towards ya.

Also brother wrote off the 520 BMW been in the family since new in 1993, on the upside i get the cranking sound system! which will enter into the mk1 to what extent is yet decided.

Hey mick dude contact these guys, if you end up ordering from them just make sure you get express unless you dont mind waiting 4-6 weeks apparently parcels leave germany via boat :S. Actually woh woh woh if your getting bigger lips, technically wouldnt that make you a bit of a show queen?

So to encourage myself heres a little to do list:
- Off to panel shop for quarter panel, bonnet and apron
- Wire tuck (when i find the time)
- Replace/fix rust in passenger foot well
- Sound System (still contemplating)
- Perhaps couple of interior things going on

Looking awesome!! I love solid red Mk1s with chrome - they really stand out. Looks to be in great nick too

Be careful with running it so low, though... The strut towers take a real beating in the long term. I've just raised mine up - never looks as good, but you gotta think long term

..... You know you can buy strut top extenders, yeah?

if you need Dom, I actually have a set of front and rear strut tops. ie, the metal sheet work that surrounds the strut tops.

Ahh sweet. I was going to say.. That's a whole lot of work when you have an easier solution at hand.

Tim bought a set not long ago I think.. After I took his car to SEDF. They look good that low but man are they uncomfortable (and let's be honest, dangerous) to drive! haha. I remember Jarred's diesel actually not riding too bad with strut top extenders and it only had hottunings in it.
