And I'll keep the steelies as is need to hit em bit harder with degreaser etc.loon said u can fit the original mk1 chrome hub caps to those wheels I think it involves a bit of welding tho
hey guys rear coils are in rear brakes overhauled fronts hopefully go in tommorow and then pics for sure!
couple of questions, with the mk1 chin spoilers (thin one piece type) is the only way to mount these to drill holes and bolt it on? and does anyone know where to get the rear mk1 wheel arch plastic trims?
there should be holes already right down the bottom on the little metal lip. there are clips that hold them on that are similar to grille clips. if you dont have them bolt/nut combo would work also.
wheel arch trims are a bit hard to find brand new i'm lead to believe, and good second handies hard to find.
ok now lowered!!!
front needs to be brought down a tad inmy opinion bit of rake going on here i know but might leave it as so for now just in case blueslip comes up.
she also now sports new clear front indicators and a chin spoiler.
will post some better pictures once iv given her a clean also bit dirtay and dusty atm.
I've always been a fan of ATS type 5's. Not sure whether they're suit fully 'euro' golfs as much as more vortex/US rabbits.
at et30, be prepared to space them out slightly to achieve the 'look' maybe (my old wheels were et31, and I had spacers on the back, and rolled gaurds all round)
ATS classis, are well classics,. probably one of the better 13" wheels going around I reckon. at 13x7 et 20, it'll poke enough that you wont' have to be so low as to actually tuck tyre for it to look good. If that makes sense. remeber if you go 13's to pull off the look, you'll have to be low! Like steve's cabby.
I know of some OZ turbos for sale in the US, mind you at 2K US + shipping, it's probably out of the price range! lol
