MK1 OBSESSION - A love story

I was no where near ready for the car that would COMPLETELY revolutionise my taste in cars. The Golf Mk1. I have sworn to one day own a skyline (spew) or maybe a silvia (spew x2) but nothing has EVER caught my attention like the Mk1.

I unfortunately haven't got the $$$ to buy one of my own just yet, but i know that i am hooked for life... and that i would be happy to drive a mk1 until the day i die!! its just torture having to wait til i have the $$$!!!!

But i often stay up looking (enviously i might add) at amazing Mk1's soooo...

If you have a mk1... post some pictures here and give me some inspiration!!

I'm onto my fourth mk1 only other car I've ever owned was a mk2

My first, 03/76 Swallowtail if only I didn't sell the thing


Second one was this, 79 with a later model 1.8 motor, 5 speed etc. Engine was worked with aftermarket ECU it was a little rocket and a ball of fun. Met a rather rude demise by thieves.




Then came the mk2 phase


Got this one currently, is in the middle of a full on resto. nobody hold their breath for a completion date
