The US kits won't be legal in Australia, I don't think. You need the emergency pressure back-up, like the GAS kits from Germany and I don't think that's a requirement in the US?
They aren't allowed full-stop in Tassie - my friend's Rodeo ute got a 'bomb sticker' for running them

I would pull a car over if i were a cop that was obviously on air bags and grinding on the road as it drives along... it's part of there job and is a safety issue amongst all other laws that are in use, they're there for a reason.

sorry rant/
I thought it was a free country.
A evo owner got pulled over and defected for having his car to low, he had 4000$ worth of sports suspention.....defintly unsafe. They had a go at my mate coz he had a after market steering wheel which was fitted properly...thats when he got stoped by da booz bus...on his Ls with his mum after they checked the whole car inside and out for defects and found non...and they did it all with atitude.
Fair enough they follow the legislation but the legislation is stupid, they defect a $40k S15 but let kents get away with cars that piss out black smoke, one wheel hanging off and floor thats rusted through.

lets keep to topic...
everyone has there own cars yes?...
now, your not building eachothers cars? or are you doing you own ones?
after reading all this legal preaching and whatever, i just wanted to let people know that if it is there car and they wanna put massave rims, air ride, or a rocket attached to there roof, weather or not its legal, if its not your car and your not driving it, then it shouldnt be your problem
BTW im not directing this to anyone here, just my point

good point!!! each to their own
as long as the person, when defected, doesnt come and whine about it on here
i dont mind whinging about defects that were obvious bullsh@t and targeting by coppers, but cars that are asking for it and then wonder why they get it get on my nervesbecause its whinging about stuff that coulda been avoided!

Cops pick on common cars, falcodores, skylines, silvia's etc, my volvo got pulled over and they didn't even think about defecting my car, they decided to get me for not showing my rear p plate, because they don't know where to start looking on most europeon cars.
Airbags, unless stock are illegal in QLD and TAS it seems, but other states, as long as your driving at legal height, why would they even know it's there? Though for it to be engineered, it has to have a fixed position above legal ride height and the low height can only be when stopped.88' Volvo 760GLE
