Yeah I met a bloke from Orange at the VW Nationals. Markus? He had a Mars Red Mk 2 Turbo. Looked sweet as, although I didn`t like the cutting of the front of the car. A Machine though. Anyone got any pics?sigpic Camden GTI Performance. VW / AUDI Specialists

No power at the moment! i had a rebuild done on the motor and i got screwed the car runs the same as before i brought it in blows lots of smoke (worn rings)the turbo is fine, the carby is a little rich- would have to change jetting, the timing is way off and starter motor bolt fell out of the engine bay a couple days after i got the car back one tranny bolt is missing a nut amongst a host of other f#*%ups all this after $3900 spent i would appreciate help from someone in melb who has engine hoist/facilities to take my motor apart i have no more cash to spend on the car i need to remedy this myself i have worked on other cars myself (incl turbo) i more than happy to help someone with their own setup.

i have a spare 1.6ltr that i want to sell...with lost compression in one cyclinder. just drop the engine out of the bottom thats what i did when i put a new engine in my 4 door. its light enuff for 2 people to lift it.Originally posted by OG-GolfNo power at the moment! i had a rebuild done on the motor and i got screwed the car runs the same as before i brought it in blows lots of smoke (worn rings)the turbo is fine, the carby is a little rich- would have to change jetting, the timing is way off and starter motor bolt fell out of the engine bay a couple days after i got the car back one tranny bolt is missing a nut amongst a host of other f#*%ups all this after $3900 spent i would appreciate help from someone in melb who has engine hoist/facilities to take my motor apart i have no more cash to spend on the car i need to remedy this myself i have worked on other cars myself (incl turbo) i more than happy to help someone with their own setup.VW: it aint just a car, its a way of life
