Can i suggest making a bracket which bolts to the block via the sump bolts front and back hence any load is taken by the much stronger block?
The engine is old and tired so if it gets smashed its no skin of my ****, i wouldnt throw the mk1 away. A broken engine just gives me more motivation to put the 1.9 in.
The bump steer is alot worse than in the mk2, i guess its the power steering, but its bareable. It doesnt bother me and i dont go drive to fast so i dont feel its to dangerous either, well atleast compared to the mk2. Alex da man is sending me a tie rod flip kit to help it out a bit though.
I need to modify the coilovers so i can bring the camber out more, the camber wear has almost made the front tyres bold on the inside.Last edited by Spyda; 17-10-2009, 11:16 PM.MK1 GLS 3door

Mine arne't quite as bad as spyda's, but close enough. I don't find it too bad either, I've been through a few corners and few twisties, and unless you're driving 9/10ths+, it's not much of an issue on the street. the bumo steer isn't bad enough to completely throw you off course or anything./
