Why not support the locals? One day we wont bother keeping them in stock because of this very problem and when someone needs one urgently they wont be able to source one.
When the locals give up on keeping them on the shelf, the suppliers to us stop bringing them into the country, as has happened with so many early parts...
This is a major reason that VW workshops and speciallists are closing all around this great country.

              Indeed, buy local

              Matthew,

I need 2 100mm inner CVs, inner boots and a set of outer boots, one should buy from the locals where practical, haven't had a chance to look at the calipers yet. I will call you when Ive got my act together.

mate, also there's Tooley Imports and HSY imports. HSY is good to deal with long distance, will take credit card over phone and post. google both for details .

its EASY to get pretty much any parts you need locally - OS is good for special stuff, but anything that would normally wear out you'll find here.

HSY always give me grief about being a trade only supplier even though my annual VW parts spend would be a lot more than some of their smaller customers.

i've spent more than my fair share of coin with local VW suppliers and still do for that matter. No need to preach to the converted!

And yet your first post promoted an overseas company, that you have never used, for a small locally available part. I think that was Andrews point.
