thanks for that pete i got em out in the end. all looks great under the carpet too.

also collected this from golf loon today!!!

    so happy!!!
    thanks matt

it's in much better shape than the GLD
so the gld is going to be minimally patched up and put back together and remain the rat that it's always wanted to be

GLS is going to be straightened up, and put on the road for crusing. the interior looks great. and will be treated with respect.

i did but unfortunately due to work, was dark again when i got home so the photo's are crap. but here's one from before i bought it....

i'll get em both out for some photos on the weekend

                man it's cool.

i love how the previous owner just covered up the rust with sticky tape like it was doing the car a favor, when really it just kept the moisture in and accellerate the oxidation (spelling ) process. still nothing that can't be fixed

this is the worst bit... bit of front end damage.

so sorry dude i know how rare they are to come up in sydney, i've been looking for one for ages. i also knew it wouldn't last long so had to dog work to get there first.

good luck on your quest. i'm sure, like me, you have been wondering how the heck to grab that one from hosham on carsales!

oh yea, mk 1 looks pretty tidy too, pity about the FE, but it can be fixed! (replacement outer skin and "new" fenders)

it's really not that bad, it might even use the rear bumper fron the GLD on the front of this and come up with some different indicators.

Nice car mate, same colour and trans as mine. Interesting fabric on the seats. Either really rare option or have been re-trimmed?

I wish my door trims had speaker holes in them sometimes so I didn't feel bad about not having speakers..
