      Pic dump!

      the beast! lol

      the rustyness!

the rustyness unpainted! the paint stripper i ued was useless (do i just slap rust converter all over the rust spots and paint over it? or is there more to it than that?)

      the lack of progress

surprising lack of floor pan rust the rest of the floor is much the same

the paint stripper i used was crapolah!
my mate is hooking me up with some aircraft stripper to make it a little easier

looks kinda like my diesel when i bought it, in terms of surface rust at least.

its a whole lottta effort getting rid of it all and spraying it up. if mine car was your colour, i would have left the surface rust and just repaired all the major rust areas.

those rust spots on the bonnet, they were similar like what i had on my roof. You need to sand them more down mate..go all the way to the metal.

check out my thread...might help you out.

what i did was, i would sand down it to the metal then put pr15 rust ready over it and then when i would put exoky paint i would get thinners and whip it of. When i wipe it off, a thin layer still stays on. This makes sure it would never rust there again and plus with the exoky...it will never rust in it life.

i just sanded all the rust spots off, should have used a bare metal protection product as well, but i didn't at the time.

                        yeah ok thanks guys.

i'm only (only ) doing the roof and hood to bare metal, if i sanded each rust spot the roof would be to bare metal anyway , the doors etc i'll just patch up and paint.

got some mk3 14inch steelies, and one of the small ?chin? spoilers today the spoiler has a big chip out of it, i think the chip adds to the rat style
wont mount it till the car's painted up though.

steelies...dirty but in good nic they just need around 2-3 inch more lip >

Undo the M6 nut and bolt at the very front of the centre rail at the front edge of the seat.

Pull the adjuster handle and slide the seat all the way back.

If your car still has them you should remove the plastic covers over the runners first.
