              They don't carry anything for any VWs nowadays.
              You have to order it in.

                non VW dealers ie. independent VW workshops are the place for earlier parts. I think the Bilstien ones I have in stock retail for around $75-$90 each. Can't remember of the top of my head as I am not at work. Boots are extra.
                Cheers, Andrew

                  You have to be careful with aftermarket stuff for VWs as most of it is garbage.

                  Bilstein=very good.

                    Hey Trev, Peter (canbera vw) had some when I needed them, he may still have some out the back. The re-fit was a easy enough.

                      Hijack

                      Sorry Trevor, but on the subject of steering matters......My Yellow golf feels a bit "floaty" and the steering input is real light at the mid (straight on) point of the rack (does any of that make sense?) Is this a sign of wear someplace? Once turned slightly (left or right) all feels fine, and I have tried tightening the rack adjustment screw - no luck.
