  • Mk1 Drivetrain - Another question

Hey all, looking at some front and rear wheel bearings and outer cv joints overseas.

The few places in Aus are much too exxy, does not make sense to buy locally when its going to cost around $50 more than to import it

Now, question is, when I look at wheel bearings, it says 06/77 onwards, my GLS is 04/77... how much difference could there be?

    Cheers

Loads, if they started using different hub design/CV specification you could easily get the wrong bearings.

$50 is not a big difference, unforseen shipping costs or an error in the order could easily gobble that up.

Dont know which of the few places you got prices from locally.
I guess you need to ask your o'seas seller the question about the differences in the bearings.

Thats fair enough, I did not think about the shipping costs.
