In the states, late golf 1's had really long tails and aluminum bumpers (painted black). My '78 has small tails like a cabby and steel chrome bumper. But our bumpers are much taller... so jealous of your tiny bumpers, whether steel or plastic.
Scuse my ignorance but wot the heck do you all mean by chrome bumpers with long "tails"??????

Thanks Jarred, taillights is what we call them down here. We must be behind!
Never heard them called tails. I had the later "tails" on Gunter with the steel bumper. The later panel and lights were cheaper to buy than the normal one.
