Will post up the cause and cost - relays and labour are not cheap!

Labour costs for mine was about $160 from memory. It didn't need anything else. all the relays were still good - they just swapped them all over. I paid a bit extra to get the radiator fan wired outside of the ignition - but less than $200 overall. I think they were glad to see the back of it though - no fun working in that tiny space!

      And the faulty part is.....

      .....The ignition switch!

No power was finding it's way to the fuse/relay box for certain items. A second hand part for $60.00 will be fitted tomorrow. Hopefully this will banish all electrical demons from the car.

No.....$160.00 all up.....The switch they ordered was incorrect....They soldered the inoperative powered pin to the main powered pin......Is this o.k.?????
For $8.00 I think I will replace it with a new part (Now I know where the problem lies). However that's not the worst part......

            1. At the time I went to collect the car, the keys could not be found. where would they be? In the car of course, parked in a public access road with the drivers window down. But that's not the worst part.

            2. The speaker cover in the drivers door is now cracked, and the plastic mesh pushed in. However I can repair this.(It's happen before-when exiting the car it's very easy to kick it with you foot)But that's not the worst part.

            3. As they kept the car overnight I think the car was parked under another vehicle on a hoist. As some oily fluid has leaked on to my bonnet. This has been covered by the dust from the major road repairs outside the repair shop. I'm sure someone had the best intention.....to wipe the oil up with a dirty dry rag mixed with the dust, while using a circular motion to create the largest swirl marks and scratches ever seen

            4. Worst part? I have only just noticed.....Didn't check the car when I left.
