Audi 80cc fuel tank clean ?

Hey,

Very similar to Mk1 so thought I would post, what is recommended for cleaning ? I found a proper fuel tank cleaning system but it's about 120 $ plus. Any cheap stuff I can use ? I believe Muriatic acid and maybe some aviation sealant may be the go ? anybody know where to get this from in VICCY ?

There is actually rust flakes in the tank ! So far I have used an alkaline cleaner and it has done a little bit but I imagine I probably need to reseal it and make sure the rust is done 100 % otherwise it will reoccur

Perhaps look at Por15. I believe [not 100%] that they do a tank cleaner/sealer.

Donno where to get in vic though. they have links on thier site I'm pretty sure, to locate local distributors.

Take the tank out, get 10 litres of diesel and a gurney and make a mess.

Auto box

Well,

I cleaned it with diesel and than an 8 $ bottle of Hydrochloric acid or Muriatic acid which is the Same thing.

I sprayed cleaned everything with a pressure washer, I did the fuel pump and some gunk came out of it, replaced the fuel filter and wooolaaahh ! She started !!!

I took her for a drive around the block and I have another problem, she engages drive, take her for a spin around the block and she starts skipping out of gear, have to turn the car off than on and she will reengage for about another 30 second than the same thing.

The transmission cooler has been bypassed (I have a spare cooler) and I can hear something that sounds like a wasp in the exhaust pipe. BZZZTTT.

Sounds like the trannies gone, is it worth repairing (Any Ideas ?) or better to replace with a 5+5 manual or source an auto box and I guess it is a huge job ?

took her for a drive, auto is still not good (I was hoping it would magically fix itself) but she started right up after three weeks of sitting... I am proud hehe. Golf Loon, do you have a box and how much work would it be ?
