  • '89 Cab . . . . . . . 2009 facelift

After nearly 3 years spending to make sure it's a reliable and legal daily I've finally managed to spend some cash personaliing me Cab So, over the last three days I've done this . . . . . . . . . finished today

    Before :

After fitting lightly smoked crystal X-hair outers and smoked X-hair inners :

    Before :

    After :

Have fitted some smoked sides too.

Also fitted a new jukebox. Unfortunately 'Bodgit and Scarper' had fitted the old one so took me 2 hours to replace all the insulting tape with proper crimp connectors  Worth the effort tho', got more technology in me dash now than Apollo 13 and that went to the moon
    Cheers for looking
    Chris

I wouldn't have thought having a name like 'Bodgit' would have been a good thing to have in the title of an auto repair company.... lol

Getting the new roof down once the weather warms up

Also need some smoked front indicators just to finish the lights and then only things left to do is a weber carb and a full respray.
Over the last 3 years it's had :
New suspension all round 40mm drop
New brakes all round (discs, pads, drums, shoes, cylinders & pipes)
          Poly bushed and front wishbones
Outer cv joints, rear bearings (twice)
          Rear axle replaced
Head gasket & skim with engine sort of reconditioned at the same time
          Roof
and the usual maintenance stuff. The price to pay for a daily driver I suppose

          Cheers for the kind words
          Much appreciated

Looks good mate, I want some smoked side repeaters, cannot seem to find them??

Also I lurve those crosshair headlamps, I want some, but they are very expensive , especially shipped from the UK. Anyone know where to get them in OZ ?

I am going back to the UK in December so may pick up some goodies....

How much are they over there?? Got lucky, bargain wise (outers new off a mate, inners new off fleabay and I robbed the sides off me best-man's Mk2 he didn't want 'em). Sides are easyish to get over here and postage should be no more than £5 but some people take the . . . . . . . with postage costs Usually costs me about £20-25 to send 2kg parcel signed for to my lad in Helensvale.

I haven't seen them over here.

I get my luxury items from the Uk also. I am from Northamptonshire, moved out 2 years ago. Sides are cheap to send, but concerned about sending headlamps. I mean those crystal clear crosshair ones are pretty expensive even in the UK. Although I reckon there is a market for them here.

He's nearly 11 but loved mine before he moved out there. I keep telling him to look out for Mk1s but no joy yet, hopefully soon then

Brisben, if enough people want 'em I reckon you could do a group buy?? I live near a few suppliers and could go and have a 'natter' and sound them out for you?
