Yeah those early Mk2 ones look good on a Mk1. I have one in the shed somewhere.

I have a Mk1 with a kamei front splitter. looks sick. I`ll take a pic oneday, but it wont be soon as the car is lost in the long grass!

Is there any advantage running the Mk2 GTI dam over a Mk1 GTI dam? Its sounds good to me... Is there much involved in putting a Mk2 dam on a Mk1??? Do you have to drill more hole and so on??? Also is a Mk2 GTI dam 100mm?

        Sorry about all the questions

        Cheers James

              Thanks for the wonky comment

That one is a bit battered and has been repaired a few times.
They are hard to get nowadays as they havent made em for years.

No problems at all James. We are all on here to help out or answer question. Thats what the forum is all about, and to keep the interest going!
Its not hard to put a mk2 spoiler on. The major advantage is that it is flexible! I cut out the dummy brake sections and ran some pieces to direct air towards the front brakes. You do have to drill some extra holes, especially on the rear trailing edges. I agree, it does look a little bit "wonky" in some shots but it also copped a bit of a hard time. On my old mk2 the outer corners used to touch the road on very hard cornering! Just guessing the hieght would be around 90/100 m/m deep. I mounted it slighty higher than the original. Cheers, Andrew

                            Yep that sounds good.

I'm suprise those things don't get ripped off with the amount of head on air flow...........best looking one regardless.
