        • Good work. The POR15 Metal Ready, is that used as a primer layer as well, or must you lay primer on before paint over that?

its used after you sand something down to the metal so it doest rust again.

just before the primer goes on, you take it of the thinners, when you whip it off a very thin layer stay on still. which is great!

but i still havt put the primer on. That gray colour you see it epoxy, which is a layer of paint that is very rust protective.

              cheers

              • If that paint comes up nice I dont think you should be embarassed asking $2k for it. So long as it is mechanically sound and wont need squillions spent for a roady. You have a nice photographic record of whats been done to the car which is good. A lot of people can be suspect of whats being hidden by a new paint job

                    ahaha nah your orite..

80% chance i will rub it back.

it all depends on how the colour match will end up like.

and if i do rub it back...i will paint it with a litter blue colour.

                    like this....

and if i dnt sell her, i will make it just like the blue one in the pic

Im not going to sell her

instead, im going to put in a 2L engine in with a gti head and supertech valves.
and maybe a schrick cam, a nice lumpy one. and of course twin webers.

im going to put the kwv3 on it aswell.

i need some nice rims now...

also i was thinking to go track days with this..

how much hp could i get out of this?

                            cheers

                            • how long is a piece of string??

that combo should make ~130-140HP with a good tune afaik.

do you already have the V3's. cause they're mighty exxy these days..
