The ac is the dealer fitted kind with the ineffective box inside the air that would blow two puffs of air at you. Plus the compressor is not there, nor is any of the associated bracketry.
Thus, he can either get a new compressor and brackets made, or junk it and save weight.
i need those hoses !! and everything elce u guys are gonna junk!!!
Ok so this weekend I went away with some mates to the Gold Coast but before hand I managed to sort out some problems on the car which was said in the last few posts the MFA and Rear fog light working
Pics to accompany it :
Can't really see it well but its working MFA and oil temps are working sweet the only proiblem is that they are in Miles ARGHH!
Due to a blown fuse they both start working which was great!
Also had a little friend helping me she looks the part in the car haha :p
And then for $35 I bought this...
Which my dad welded up the bar to be made for its attachment piece
Haven't put it on yet so will do that over the next few days as I have to chop the old folg light out and put this one in.
So just a little update on the mk1.... Since owning the car there has been a rattle coming from the car on idle like metal on metal noise.
Last week when I was poking around the car and cganging things I moved the exhaust around abit and then noticed a ping noise "bull****!"
Took a look underneath and found that the hanger that sits under the gearshifter was broken. This brought a smile to my face cause it was really annoying drives that I could hear this pinging noise
I thought it was coming from the engine but couldn't see anything at the time
So went to Tuffy mufflers in Alexandria and spoke to Rod who remembered that I owned the white VR, and said I'd be back to see him for a new muffler with that car. After 25mins of talking the car was done drove it straight onto the lift and did it. I also got a nice chrome tip but no pics will do after work though, something suttle but I thought the chrome would do nicely haha
Taking a look under the car I have Konis which will be for sale soon which are also rebound adjustable
All good
The sump looks like its taken a beating in its lifetime
Over the next couple of weeks I will get the clutch cable loked at and also to see if I have any vacuum leaks for the brakes.
