  • Mk 1 - fuse/relay panel replacement?

Where can I get a new/another fuse & relay panel?

    Just started on my Mk1.
Lights and wipers not working too well.
Tracked it back to the fuse/relay panel, after checking everything else.
Have replaced column switch and relays, overhauled wiper motor.

    Work in progress

I have some decent second hand ones, but you can crack your one open and clean / resolder any dodgy bits and it may work.

I have one new one left to suit your Golf. Pretty expensive and difficult to find these days though.
PM me if you are interested,

Agree they are expensive. You can still get them from VW Australia if you've got a lazy $400 or so. I got mine from GermanAutoParts.com a bit earlier this year. It was about $US90.

Worth a try, for sure. I have seen a couple of successful repairs over the years.
I am not here to sell stuff but to help keep these things alive. Nothing nicer than a new fusebox when you replace them though. Horn, wipers and lights are soooo much better! No more intermittent indicator problems.
My caddy has a totally different setup completely.

yeah chucking in new bits is much less concerning, I'm liking those Mk1's they look A1 in white!!
