as we know due to emission laws the east changes engines in cars at about 40000km to 60000km and they are then sold to other countries as 2nd imports i have a friend that owns an engine place in sa

like the sound of the 40,000km engine, would it come with tranny and all ecu loom turbo etc? and how much.

well cant give price cause have no idea wat about the salvage yards here i`m only here 2.5 weeks now so dont know much about aus learning as i go along

thats cool just give us a price when you learn the ropes! No rush there isnt any restrictions on importing engines i dont think, Golfloon is the one to talk to about import engines and the regulations...

well to my knowledge in sa wen i bought an engine it was complete with everything had a mk4 2.0lt with throttles in my maroon mk1 the pic of my car with the tt wheels

awesome, as long as it comes with everything and its a low Km's engine!!! let us know when you find out the regulations and start importing stuff
