Granted that VWA would charge you an arm and a leg for it though.

Alrighty, research done... Might need to move this into it's own thread...
To import under the current "Low Volume Scheme for New Vehicles", it needs to meet SPECIALIST AND ENTHUSIAST VEHICLE SCHEME (SEVS) ELIGIBILITY.
The Low Volume Scheme for new vehicles allows for the supply to the market of up to 25 or 100 vehicles per year per vehicle category. The Scheme provides a major concession in that it allows alternative forms of evidence to be submitted against some of the ADRs. In the main this applies to ADRs where destructive or expensive testing is required.
The Low Volume Scheme for new vehicles is limited to vehicle make/models that are on the Register of Specialist and Enthusiast Vehicles (the Register). The eligibility requirements for entry on the Register are set out in Regulation 24 of the Motor Vehicle Standards Regulations 1989 and in the Administrator of Vehicle Standards Circular 0-2-12
Essentially, the car needs to meet 2 of 4 criteria set out in page 7. And, I can't really see that happening... Even if you were thinking of the Citi Rox.
On a side not, however, both the VR6 and G60 Corrado are listed under SEVS, but there is no RAW workshop that can comply them to Aus ADR's...
"The RAW compliance process is a "Vehicle by Vehicle" approval system. This means that you purchase your first vehicle and obtain the evidence for that vehicle, then comply it in accordance with the evidence and the compliance criteria in the legislation and submit a Vehicle Inspection Certificate (VIC). When the vehicle and evidence is examined by officers of DoTaRS and is found to be OK, you have that vehicle added to your RAWS schedule and may apply for a Used Import Plate for that vehicle only. You may then bring in more vehicles of the same Make and Model"
P.S - I think I just wrote/copied my most useful bit of forum info! HA!
