Found in SA - Diesel 4Dr For Sale

I'm not quite sure where to put this so feel free to move it necessary.

I was approached by someone last night who needs to get rid of his (presumably) MK1 Diesel 4 door. He's moving house and needs it gone. Asking $500.

I was in a hurry and wasn't thinking straight so I didn't get his details nor did I have a look at it.

I don't really have the need/space/money for it, but it occured to me someone else might so I am thinking of going back and checking it out/getting his details to put on here.

Any thoughts? Any one interested. I'm not familiar with the diesels so any comments welcome.

I may even be tempted myself...

UPDATE: I spoke to the owner and the details are:

* blown head gasket
* new motor on its way
* $500 as is or $1000 with new motor
* Approx '81 model
* Owner needs it gone so price might be negotiable

I have not seen the car (it's in an outer suburb on the other side of town) so can't vouch for it (or the owner for that matter). I don't know the owner nor do I have an financial interest in the car. I'm just trying to help people out and hoping that it goes to a good home rather than getting squashed.

Its up for sale on Nissan Silvia atm. Its a guy called Steve, think his user name on there is Scooba Steve or something similar. Caught up with him last nite at the pub and said I would advertise on here for him when I get a chance. If I wasnt moving to Vic next yeah I would grab it for sure, but alas I dont have the room or time to do it
