I've got a 1990 Mk1 Cabriolet. The warm up regulator is faulty (hunting RPM at idle after engine warms up). It also seems to have gotten a little thirsty
I've had it pressure checked by reputable VW mechanic & inicated that warm up regulator is faulty - (quite a common fault with the Mk1 cabrio apparently).
Mechanic priced a new unit at $1000 !!!! But surely there might be soemone out there with a refurbished or aftermarket unit at a more reasonable price. (which is what the mechanic suggested I do)
I've found a unit that I can get from US - but seems I should exhaust all loal options first.
I live in Sydney - but don't mind sourcing a regulator from inter state.
