hey i am at the stage of putting brake fluid in my system after a newish master cylinder, but when i push the pedal it makes a whosshing noise and doesnt seem to be pumping the fluid through enough for me to bleed the brakes as it trickles out like your wang after a 2 night bender on the turps........ does the engine have to be running to provide the vacume to the booster or does this sound like an air leak, the noise is coming from the booster and havnt experienced it befor and cant find the prob, maybe im over looking something simple.... pls help as my car is useless with out brakes,,,,,,,,

Bad booster or air leak I think.

should pump up even if booster is bad?
check to see if everything is tight
make sure its not sucking air from
somewhere. if lines were dry can
take a while to get some pedel
try letting fluid just drip out of all four
for five or ten mins keeping res full
and try again, rag up cause messy
