Hooray!!! My 2 door Rabbit

It's actually very comfy to drive. Last christmas I drove the Hume in the GTI and got to Melbourne with a sore lower back and my eyes hanging out.
This trip, at the first oil fill up at Gundagai my right ankle was very wobbly and sore. I allowed 2 days to drive down in case of problems but managed to go straight through in 10 hours. Wabbit met me and we went to his place.
I felt fine, no aches or fatigue. We stayed up drinking and rapping with Preeny on MSM till 2.30 am. Slept well though!!
Great drive really even with the oil stops. I was pretty worried about driving an unknown quantity all that way.
All up I covered 791 miles not allowing for the slow reading speedo on the 14s with high profile tyres. The trip to Golfworx's house boosted the distance a distance a bit but the company was well worth it.
Should be up in Sydney on the Australia day weekend to do some repairs to a Daihatsu Terious and Kaths Mk4 as well.

Sorry I couldn't make it out to catch up Andrew. I had precious time left on my holidays and had a heap of stuff that had to be done before I went back to work.

I'll have to make the trip down South one of these days and come for a visit.

andrew, that soft vinyl dash is HOT. so trendy . caddy looks great apart from the majorly dented wheel wells in the tray!

gotta keep that diseasal badge on the tailgate for the sleeper effect

The inner wheel wells are single panel so its no biggy to knock them back into shape. Famous last words eh?
Its going to be very tidy but in the end, its a ute!! I dont want to be worried about scatching the back occasionaly. Wood slats as in Kombi ute might be good I am thinking.
The dash is very yankee and adds to the 70s theme.
