76 MK1 4 door project!
Hey guys,
This is my newly acquired 76 Mk1 Golf. It is my second mk1, although the first didn't really qualify as I only had it for a matter of weeks.
It's a bit of a Frankenstein as it has bits from several different year models!
( below, in tow behind my Land Rover Defender )
Found it on gumtree, has been sitting for a while in a paddock.
So far:
Got it started and running!
Changed oil and filter
Changed spark plugs
New Battery
New fuel filter
Flushed cooling system several times
&
currently on order is a thermo fan switch and a round air filter.
Thanking my good mate Mr.Bilt for sharing his knowledge on mk1's and helping me so I can get this buzz box out of his garage on the road !!
