  • Does your horn work with ignition off?

I just fiddled with some electrics to get the car ready for inspection next week - and the fuse for the reverse switch/horn was blown.

After disconnecting the reverse switch, the horn now works without blowing the fuse - however - this is only when the ignition is on.

Was this always the case with MK1 as I am not wanting to be defected for this in the Blue Slip.

      Depends on year I think.

I have 2 '79s. On one the horn and brake lights work only with ign on. On the other they work anytime.

Also one has euro parkers wired up , but not the other.

      Both passed RWC.
