bigger clutch now?

hey guys i have a late model 5 speed (mk1 box, close ratio 2nd gear) and a mk2 1.8 k-jet motor. just wondering if i should upgrade the clutch...i wil being making it more powerful...but should i change the clutch or just wait until i actually do make it more powerful?
