1.9TDi 105k service

G'day guys. I'm up for the 105k service and have been told that the timing chain is to be done @ ~$1000. The book says 120k. Apparently there was a change to the guidelines for this change. I'm waiting on a quote from my local vw mech, but he didn't flinch when I told him what vw were charging. Carservice.com.au online quotes at over $1300. So, any thoughts?

Try lube mobile they were a lot cheaper for my 60k service.
Let us know how ya get on cause im only about 3 months off that service
