  • Small hose from suspension area

Hi, this will be my first post so please be kind. I have recently had the infamous knocking / clunking noise from the rear of the car. It seems to come from right rear suspension area. I did a simple inspection on the suspension area and found a small hose dangling from the hole where the suspension is. Anyone know what that hose is? Would like to know if it is safe to drive the car until the mechanics open again? Thanks.

I took a picture of the hose.

Doesn't look like anything that'll matter much.
If it's a hatch, does your rear window washer still work?

Washer pipes run inside the car.

It is for the little drain hole in the fuel filler.
If you open the fuel filler door you will see it.
Someone has had the inner guard of and not tucked it behind properly.

Yes, I know — just wondered if someone had been fiddling. If it's a drain tube then it may be disconnected at the other end and water is possibly ending up where it shouldn't, for there's no sign of any such tube on my car (but then it may not be the same model, either — the photo looks rather different.)

Its 2009 tiguan. I think you guys are right. It might be the fuel drain tube. I will ask my mechanic to tidy it up. Thanks for the respond though will update again once its fixed
