I'm looking at buying a 2010 golf 103tdi with around 70k on the clock and would plan to hang onto it for another 100k or 5 years. After thoroughly researching the DSG, I'm now investigating the diesel engine. After reading a nightmarish thread on mk5 EGRs filthing up the engine, I'm already hesitant. Does the mk6 still suffer from this problem?
In the interests of long term ownership, I'm also reading about owners routinely adding 2SO or Morey's Diesel Smoke Killer to every tank. Is this something mk6 owners are doing too and does it improve the EGR sludge/soot?
