Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

    Hi Guys

I'm after a 2nd car and the Octavia 09 (update model) has grabbed my attention and I have some Qs for the knowledgeable please. Unlike Golf the update model did not receive a new model designation. I’m looking at sub 60km cars.

Can we confirm if the update early 09 saw the new 2.0 CR diesel as found in the Golf 6? I really don’t want more PD injector pain in my life.

I will take a VCDS cable to inspections, is there anything particularly to check like DPF?

    thanks

I have a Y11 VRs Skoda Combi 2.0 ltr. diesel. The vehicle has 50,000 km. on the clock and has never missed a beat. Diesels need to be operated regularly at reasonable road speeds, no in suburban traffic. From my experience Skoda are built in their own factory and while they share most components from other cars in the group, they are assembled differently, hence no gear box recalls as the wiring was installed differently Just an example.
