Sorted rear coilover clunk. Strut wasn't up tight enough...
That reminds me, did you do up the LHS front lower balljoint nuts? The ones I found were undone?

Yes. Tightened them up. At first forgot to put that wishbone bolt back in before the axle so had to pop the hub out on the driers side ball joint and put that guy back.

It's fixed! Snapped intercooler piping clip was the problem. Gldgti to the rescue with some wire and pliers and all is well. Mission complete car driving perfect! Happy days!

Some pics of her after a quick wash tonight.

And was looking through the service schedule in the glovebox. Apparently my haldex filter has been changed twice... How strange is that. Makes me question what actually gets done at a service and what's just ticked. Doesn't matter as I'll be doing it from now on.

Mate that must be a good feeling to know its all back together!

Save some cash and surprise us with some nice wheels for GAD.

Also put some $$ aside for a flash and exhaust for soot!

Need to figure out the process of sending them the factory tune and waiting for the remap. Wasn't sure if I should wait though pending if I do any more mods to the engine so I don't have to get the map adjusted later or just get the stage 2 and leave it alone... Hmmm

its pretty easy to use the tuning box thingy, pretty much just plug it in and follow the instructions

You can just tell the tuner that you will be doing x,y,z mods, can they make the tune aggressive enough to take advantage.

Apart from exhaust, do you have anything else in mind now?

Well, there's a couple GT1749VCs and a GTB2260VK I have my eye on that have been welded onto factory manifolds.. Not sure if I'll ever pull the trigger on them though purely because of the cost associated with supporting mods and the possibility of compromising reliability. Now that it's fixed I want to leave it alone but want to tinker for more power!! Apart from that pretty much just exhaust and maybe twisting your arm into fabbing a large decatted downpipe

Logical thing is just to get the stage 2 tune now (maybe with exhaust accounted for to the tuner). Have fun with the extra kick and then if I can pony up the cash look at my options then.

I reckon a pair of 1749's on the Audi v6 would be good.

^^ certainly a 3" downpipe would be fun also on your golf.
