  • Idle - Ajusting TDI

    Hi there,
Is the Idle adjustable on a TDI 2.5 T4? Or is it only done via the ECU?
My T4 has a habit of idling at around 990-1000rpm when hot, but idles nice at 870rpm when cool-cold. Perhaps a sensor has kapput someplace?
    Any ideas?
    Thanks in advance.

Yeah you can alter the idle via the ecu. Best to have a quick scan to check all the sensors are behaving at operating temp. Shouldnt be too much going on there mate good set up on the 2.5.
A scan will pull any codes too if any.
    Cheers

      Jimmy,
OK - so this scan, who can do this? I don't live near any VW centre/workshop.
Live on the south coast (NSW).
Can't do it with a laptop?

              Sounds Good APR (?)
Do have a phone number for the VW centre?
I'll put it on my list to do next when I'm in Canberra.
              Do you work for them?
I'll need a belt change soon also, pump & timing.
