  • Impressed with my dyno read out on my Gt!

So I ventured down to canberra to Autotech for their APR dyno day on the 1st of December and decided to just throw my Gt on just to find out what it was actually producing before I started with any performance modifications. Over 3 runs it's peak was 120.6 KW at the wheels and 480 NM. Such a pleasant surprise when VW quote 125 KW at the fly... Anyway I'll get some pictures up shortly of my read outs when i can get my scanner working

Well done. 120kw is a bit optimistic for a stock car in reality, but certainly within the realms of error across dyno's. The torx is way out, but this is often a rough guess at best. A stock GT should be about the 350nm mark, which again is pretty darn good. Tuned you should be able to get about 150kw in reality, and mid 400nm with the DPF in place.

A properly tuned GT is a beautiful thing, I upset a WRX from the lights yesterday, gotta love that in a laggy turbo diesel!

I was highly doubting the numbers as well, but they're such a powerful car, I wasn't too far off an xr8 falcon and mine is stock standard... Just goes to show how far diesel cars have come along.
