    This is my beast.

I'm *eventually* going to go the whole nine yards - bigger injectors, FMIC, fuel pump, etc.
Next on my list is matte black partial wrap, exhaust and a stage 1 tune. ... I wanna be quicker than the petrol guys!... And before I'm off my P's.

Those are some interesting boost numbers... I wonder where the extra 22kW comes from. Oh, and the torque.

Apparently tunes for the 125TDI brings it up to around 151kW/420Nm!!
2012 Octavia vRS TDI. Darkside big turbo, 3bar tune, other stuff. 200kW/650Nm.
    1990 Mk1 Cabrio. 1.9 IDI w/ 18PSI.
    1985 Mazda T3500 adventuremobile. 1973 Superbug. 1972 Volvo 144 in poo-brown.
    Not including hers...

Looking good man, I like the darker blue. You should really black out the windows though
Wow that would be nuts, yeah youd be getting nice power just from a flash tune. Jelly.

Its not in the PSI its in the volume of air that gets pushed in, so im assuming the turbo and or piping/manifold are larger on your 125 compared with my 103 !

got some visuals for you guys

and heres a small teaser of what the exhaust/carbonio combo sounds like
      (clicky)

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but all your pics, bar the R seats and the vid aren't working.

I did have them tinted a couple of weeks ago - better look, but darkest legal... I can't afford a fine for anything darker!

On full boost at 4.5k rpm with the stock air intake, I was pulling 1,050cfm of air [peak]. Looking at 800-950cfm average running hard, depending on RPM.
Now with the Carbonio, its at 1,250cfm peak, 900-1,100cfm average. Thats a buttload of air.

I was under the impression the 125 was the same as the 103, just with a different ECU tune and a stronger crank shaft - hence my surprise at your boost pressure! Perhaps I was wrong?... Guess we can find out!

Love the mods. Just wondering where did you tap into for the boost gauge pressure? Any pic?
I got a A3 which is pretty much the same motor.

Hmm i changed the links around, do they work now ?
Wow the carbonio helped out more than i would have thought, did you get all those readings off the OBD scanner application ?
lol yeah cops will get you for just about anything these days, i had to stick to darkest legal too .. but thats on top of factory privacy tint

There are a few diesel gurus here so maybe they can figure this one out !

cheers man, I took off the rubber hose off the compressor side of the turbo (before the intercooler pipes), drilled a hole through it and put in a boost tap. I can take pictures for you if you wish. Was probably one of the more annoying mods Ive had to do, i couldnt get it back on the turbo for a while haha

Pictures would be great. How accurate are the readings you'll been getting?
Also have you got more details on your exhaust set up or even a better sound clip? From that small teaser it sounded good.
I've got a Oettinger muffler which is only slightly louder then stock from the outside. Inside its pretty much my APR intake sounding like a jet fighter!!!

The 125 is a different engine to the 103, many different components (including different turbo).

With a tune, the 103 has a similar power and torque output to the stock 125 and becomes an entertaining drive

Id say they're fairly accurate, the defi units are of a high standard, but as to boost tap location your ideal position should be as close to the manifold as possible.. I doubt there would be any significant difference anyhow

This is what the tap looks like after ive put it through the rubber pipe coming off the turbo
(you want to mount it on the top side as to not get oil/sludge clogging it up)

and this is where that is (under the intake piping)

What i did was basically remove the rear muffler, putting a 'Y' pipe to split the singe into twin pipes for twin tips. Even the exhaust shop guys were surprised at how little the note changed. But its much nicer than stock, especially in the higher revs
I want to take some footage in an undercover carpark (dat resonance) but im just busy all the time lol hopefully soon !
Are you planning to do any more mods to yours ?

                    Thanks for the pics.
Just doing supension work later on in the year and waiting for someone (tuners) to crack the ecu for some tuning.
Other then that I've only done intake, rear muff, 19", tints and rns-e.

125TDI have many differnet parts to the 103 TDI...

I have also seen that there are different intake manifolds on 125TDI's.

I tapped my Manifold for Boost:

My Speedhut electronic Boost Gauge and a GTI Seering wheel for the paddles

                      \( O ) o\====(\X/)=TDI=/o ( O )/ 2011 Jetta Mk5 125TDI - Squidly

^ Brave man tapping straight into the manifold, i was too scared i'd either break it or make it leak air lol
Wish mine came with flappy paddles from factory, makes shifting so much more enjoyable up in the hills ..

JPE - Is your ECU security coded or something ?
I managed to score a half priced tune from VIEZU so that will be going on as soon as i can book the car in with them. Still sorting it all out. Woo! a little excited.

So popped down to HPX in dandenong to get my vPerformance tune from VIEZU and have busting random smiles while driving my car ever since.
The initial drive left a little to be desired, but I had been told it takes up to 3 days for the ECU to fully learn the tune which proved to be very true. By the end of the first day I had bucket loads more torque and could really feel the car pulling much harder.
Fuel consumption went down, i recorded 3.2l/100km average over a 60km stretch on the M1 freeway which blew me away
The car comes alive after 3000rpm, pulling hard all the way to redline(5k) .. something that i was not used to with the standard settings
The instant torque can be seen when the car doesnt need to downshift going up hills even at 1100rpm !
If i floor it in 2nd gear, the wheels will break traction (225/45/17) which gives you some idea of how much more power it has .. keep in mind it is DSG

I managed to get out on a spirited drive with the melb VAG crew through the twisties, and with the addition of the FSB and Tune (compared to the last time I went on this cruise) it completely transformed the way the car drove.
                              I was in love.
I managed to keep up with the GTI's and scirroccos, even pulling away from an r32 at one point ..although i cant comment on how hard he was driving.. Everyone I had a chat to praised its performance.

The VIEZU brand and products have won my respect, not only did I receive a well made, quality tune, but Ive never experienced such great customer service before. From the local dealer who flashed my car, to the manager of the Australian branch, every single question and concern I had (pre and post tune) was fully addressed and further measures taken to make sure I had 100% satisfaction with their product.

The tune also included 'light' DSG tuning - an indirect method of making gearshifts more aggressive when under load and holding the shift for a little longer.
Updates and changes to the tune free for life - includes adjustment to incorporate new hardware upgrades, or if you want more torque down below, more power up high etc .. you name it, they'll do their best to get you what you want.

the average figures that have been quoted as off the site are +35hp and +70Nm
but Viezu are taking the car and logging data to see if they can pull any more power from it (safely) when I have some spare time , after which I will get it on the dyno to give you guys some numbers !

Couldnt be happier with the tune, the car is so much more fun to drive now, the only down side is realizing you're gonna need better brakes ! (which are on the waiting list to be fitted - GTI fronts)
