See im so confused cause i love my oiler to bits! And seeing someone else drive it would suck cause i love how it looks..but i would enjoy a mkv r32 always wanted one and for what im spending on the oiler i think will benefit the r32 more. Might end up keeping this though and buying an r32 separately

I think you will be get bored quickly with the R32. I do love them because they sound like a beast and also wanted to one really badly but I wouldn't buy because performance wise there isn't much you can tune and for little gains unless it is ForceFed <= Haha. I love the torque you get from the diesel. And for everyday driving in traffic it's awesome plus the added bonus of not filling up every week.

      • Sell the Trendline for a TDI GT Sport or a GTD.

GT's can be had for almost $20k now.

My GT is as quick as an R32 up Macquarie Pass and I have video evidence!

        • Nothing wrong with an R32, it would be the one car I wouldn't mind owning over my GT and have at times contemplated making the change.
Hey if you do decide to part out I'd love your tail-lights.

          • I'd get a GTI well before I bought an R32.

I drove Ian Renenhaus's R32 when it had the huge exhaust on it. Gotta say I was bored pretty quickly, didn't feel fast at all.

True, and much like my GT they don't seem fast but they are deceptively quick - you really need to look at the speedo to be reminded. About the only car that I've driven that actually felt fast was a Lotus Elise - wasn't the quickest thing i've driven but by god did it feel like it.

If you're seriously contemplating GT vs GTD have read of my review of both

Have indeed read your review of both, Poyta. I disagree with the surge of power thing though. My former neighbour had a GT DSG Sport (TDI) and I felt that the power was a bit underwhelming. That's obviously because my DD back then was a modified Euro-R, but I was kind of comparing it to the GTI. I felt that the GTD comes a lot closer to the GTI than the GT Sport TDI does, but that's simply my opinion. I love the interior styling of the GTD as well. Those GTI seats are just so great.

                        • Nooooo.... Don't do it.

But.... $100 says within 6 months of getting a new car, you'll sell the tdi.

Why would you want 2 x rego and 2 x insurance? it sucks even paying 1 lot of both....

Are you going to fill us in on what happened with the wheels in the end?
