  • Oil filter drama on mkv tdi! Help needed please.

Just went to do my first oil change on my mkv and have run into a little problem.
I cannot get the oil filter out?
There just isn't enough room for it to come out!
Am I just holding my tongue the wrong way or do I have to remove the throttle body to get it out?

Have you got a 32 mil socket?
If you have you have to undo the top of the oil filter housing ,the filter should just pull straight out .

Hold the lid of the filter up, and pop the filter back into the housing with a large-ish screwdriver.

Then the lid will come out, followed by the filter. Have a rag handy, as oil will go everywhere.

Do the exact reverse, minus the screwdriver part, to reinstall.

        Thanks fella's, I sorted it.
I was trying to get it out in one piece but then realised you have to separate the filter from the cap.

        Thanks again
