Engine Stalling rough at idle

i've got a 2010 golf tdi 1.6, i've got this stalling problem since we received the car brand new, but it wasnt doing it everday.

recently the a/c had failed on the car, so we got vw to inspect it and they end up replace the entire a/c system, after the a/c was fix the engine start stalling nearly everyday. as always the engine starts very rough at idle when its cold, normally i let it run for awhile before i pull out of driveway, then once i got the a/c on for a period of time the engine will just randomly stall in the middle of driving.

i dunno what cause this to happen, i wonder if theres any of you that have the same/similar issue like this.

Does the car stall when the a/c is on only? I've found that on cold start with a/c left on car will stall.

Mine is a 2009 Mk6 2.0 TDI DSG — being lazy, I leave the AC on climate control permanently (IMHO, that's what it's for) and the car has never even looked like stalling. In common with other AC-equipped cars and commercials I've owned down the years, it does idle somewhat slower with the AC off.

Suggest both cars need attention to the idle settings.

now after the a/c was replaced last wk it will just stall randomly. it does it more often if i have the a/c on says 3 stall within 1 min.

this is a automatic dsg by the way.

obviously i took it back to vw and they check the computer and told me there's no problem.

All DSG's are (sort of...) automatic and are normally harder to stall than manuals.

Looks like your dealer isn't really interested in sorting the problem you obviously have — the computer is a guide to diagnosing faults, but it's not infallible, nor is the one that controls your engine and transmission.

Try and find someone who knows what he's talking about, and replicate the problem for him.
