      interesting, transporter.....

one connection i want to "protect" is the MAP sensor in the SMIC... since i did the "wheel arch vent" mod, it does get a little dirty down there, over time.

      dont laugh!

So.. I finally did my Cage MOD on the 2.5 T.4.

I ended up with a friggin' amazon.com voucher after Christmas, but had no idea what to buy. I pretty quick tried to get some stabilant21, but OMG it is soooo complicated to order that stuff somewhere to get it send to oz. So many sites and 'specialists' praise that stuff, but their dealer network is so small and nobody wants to post overseas, that you have to wonder how they run their business.

Anyway, after more research I found another product called DeoxIT-D it was just US$15 posted to OZ and it is awesome! Idling it much improved, much much more smoother and not so bumpy as before. It also goes much easier through the rev-range and blablabla. We all know what the cage mod does....

Anyway. This product (same as stabilant21) doesn't protect the MAF sensor, but enhances the conductivity. ...so I tend to believe now that the old 'protection' story is an urban myth????!?!??
