  • Autospeed article on PD injector timing tune

    Here

Not sure how relevant this is to the twin cam 2l models but it is definitely relevant to the single cam 1.9l.

Have you noticed if the cam wheel that does the injectors is slotted on yours Greg?

ahh well he did all the ajusting himself so good on him. Seems like a good life to get paid for writing up tinkering with your car!

I am sorry if anyone was offended by that omission. I don't normally cite sources like that in an article unless there is ongoing documentation available that will benefit readers over the long term.

There is nothing to stop anyone tinkering with their car, writing-up (and photographing) the results and then submitting them to a commercial publication. That in fact is exactly how I sold my first article to a car magazine.

I would think that anyone who found your article relevant would also find this site of great benefit. Just a casual mention that you recieved some advice from here that helped you achieve your end result would let them investigate this site and provide due credit to the experts in this forum.

I don't disagree with you on principal, but I always cringe when i see "expert" and "forum" in the same sentence

My philisophy is that until you know a forum and its various members well, you can't really ever trust what you read.... there's an aweful lot of bogus info around.

Too true about general forum "experts".

But the "experts" I was referring to who should have been creditted were specifically the ones who helped Julian diagnose and resolve his timing issue (ie you, Transporter, Preen59, ST33VI and brad)

                            I wasn't offended.

If my name was sited for every time I helped somebody with automotive stuff then it would be plastered all over the interwebz...... and then my boss would know what I get up to when our crappy computer system is grinding away on my sql queries.

All good & I think JE has contributed a lot to automotive tinkering over the years.
