Yep that was a Phase 1, the motor needs to have intake and exhaust mods before we consider it needs to be a Phase 2.

We had the tuned file already, so it only takes 15 minutes plus a road test.

You qualify Greg, mainly due to what you have taken off your motor!

Not done the software for EGR delete yet, no one but Greg has been game enough to get the spanners out. When he works out the DPF that's staying on the car, it'll be sometime soon after.

Great to see Custom Code getting out there, as it should!
yeh thought I'd write this review just to spark some interest out in the diesel community for CC. One of the only tuning companies I know that offers more than one stage for Petrol AND Diesel!

Giac offers more than 1 i think.. Just as an example.

The surging is there in my Caddy, but stock and with the piggyback. I found that it's actually better with the piggyback than without. I have learned to drive around it but sometimes it catches people out (Dom bagging them up @ the lights in Melbourne for example.. haha.)

not yet, its all seat of the pants. Just happy to be back in a chipped TDI again!

yes, it's a review, not my chip is better than your chip. I don't give a crap what about anyone else's chip experiences, Im reviewing mine.

GIAC is always happy to work with you to tune to your needs, and from what I've seen, they'll keep on tuning until they get it spot on. So I don't doubt the fact that they would go further than a stage one.

100% Agree. I'm looking into chip tuning at the moment...

                            sorry for my late get-into-the-fray...

congrats, josh!!! hope the tune is doing you good. oh, can i say congrats again, simply because i admire peeps who will dedicate themselves to gooing out on a limb and being a "guinea pog", where 99.99% of others will simply say "well... damn... i think it would be safer to get a $2,000 TWO THOUSAND DOLLARRRRR" wanabee APR tune rather than a $800 tune from a respected UK tuner who does WAAAAYYYYY more tunes for cars than APR ever will".

how is the fuel economy? are you chasing that dragon at all?

also (and this one is the one im REALLY keen to know about)... i saw you post that your clutch was slipping - yet i also dont remember seeing a thread / post where you replaced your clutch. if you havent, is it still holding up after the new tune?

either way, BIG PROPS for putting your money where other peoples' mouths are (particularly with regard to the ozzy tdi non-scene) and trying something other than oettingay or bluefin.

                            cheers,

                            scotty.

                              he's back! How are ya!

fuel economy has inproved 1l/100 to 5.9/100, and believe me when I say I was flogging the arse off it

Clutch is still fine! It only slipped when I tried a full blown second gear launch. So its staying in there for now

Nice but its improved a ltr? When mine was stock flogging it would be 5.5 with the flash it was 5.5

Shouldn't have too many dramas with the clutch, Mines still got the stock clutch in it, has close to 150,000km on it and it has received a hiding almost every day.
