Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

whats the difference between a 2.5tdi AXE engine and a AXD
Would a AXD turbo fix on a AXE engine (they look similar)

Any one in Aus repairing the GT style turbos on the AXE 2.5tdi they need to be spun upto operating RPM's and balanced. So far no one Ive called touches them, they just replace em

I think the AXD is a lot less powerful than the axe. I would say that the turbo would be the biggest difference.
