Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

      A guess might be that fuel mixture in a diesel is no where near as bad as a petrol if it goes badly wrong...?

        Turbo just pushes air in direct injection, or in fact any injection engine really - perhaps not the last few cm. Both would overfuel, but would be kinda drivable to the edge of the road kind of thing. I'm not suggesting you head off across the Nulla'....
