Hi,
Before I emigrated to Oz (jan 07) I followed lloyd allard's vw golf my 4 1.9 tdi in the volkswagen racing cup - he won many races. If you follow the link below there is some online video of him racing:
Also, i followed 2004 le mans diesel project, taurus sports lmp1 v10 based on vw touareg engine. I have some video of it being tested at snetterton last year.
I notice at bathurst a holden astra cdto and alfa 150 2.4jtd being raced and thought that it would be good to support them.
When I get enough money behind me I hope to buy a wrecked golf mk 5 2.0 tdi and import some performance parts and get some experience of track days.

thats some good video, the diesel sounds very meaty under boost like that...
very impressed with how sticky the car is too - especially on intermediate tyres.

Hi,
Le Mans is not possible, they were trying for alms with the d1 sponsor but its alot of money.
I haven't been in touch with ian dawson for ages.
