Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

  • DPF delete pipes and software

Hi fellas, I am looking to get some delete pipes shipped in the near future. I'd like to take a $300 deposit.

They will only be sold with the software.

They'll be coming by sea, unless an additional $700 for shipping by Fedex doesn't frighten you!!

As a package, I am looking for the pipe and software to be about $2000 plus fitting on the pipe.

I have places in mind in Brisbane and Sydney for fitting. Other locations will need to be worked on.

Please add your names and questions below.

    Cheers

    Gavin

Sorry oracle, I am dealing with JBS and they don't do stuff outside VAG.

craigy, it'll be a couple of weeks before the boat leaves. Then there's the mercy of the waves to contend with. Could be 4 to 6 weeks.

The pipe will need fitting and the software loading. I'll get to that as soon as possible.

Mate they are only quoting 164-178kw and 420-460nm, with far more response and drivability.

Pathetic really! 500 newtons or nuthin!

Having only just chatted to Gavin in real life yesterday, I have to say it's already blatently obvious here is a guy that is ALL about the customer. Not to diminish anyone else ( I've yet to meet a bad person in the VAG scene businesswise ) but he's definately going out of his way for me. To say I'm excited is putting it mildly, and I'm very happy with the agent, product, result, coding and customization possible.

                      Now as for the WAIT.......AAARRRGH!

If I push too many big gears, can you do me a deal on new knees??

I'll let Gav answer that one directly, but to my understanding C code write a tune to suit YOUR car in real time. The DPF is a phase two, where real time parameters are sent back to CC, and they tweak their base maps to suit your baby. I'm sure they can tweak the delivery to suit the DSG.

It's one of the things I've been wanting in a "chip", is the customisation to take advantage of current, and future, mods.

Very much looking forward to it!
