Is it possible... TDI in a mk1???

just putting it out there, i have gone diesel now i want to stay diesel. it is not in the near future but is definately something i would like to think about for later on. i am guessing a whole heap would have to be changed on the car so a whole heap of work.

can it be done? if so what year and which car engines do u suggest? has anyone seen it done?

yes it is. have a look in the project section for mollins' mk 1 project. cool little 2 door with, you guessed it, a 1.9 mTDI! (m for mechanical, rather than comp controlled, much simpler..)
