    I thought you may like to read this ABC news item from a few days ago. It highlights the pollution consequences of rising car ownership in just one developing country.

    Bear in mind that companies like Tata and Mahindra use diesel engines in all of their current models. Can you imagine what a combination of increased demand and reduced supply will do to diesel prices?!

    Ben... Do you have any numbers regarding diesel engined VW model sales in developing countries? I was in China in the 80's and most Japanese derived vehicles were diesels so I would guess that this trend would continue.
