Happy New Year mate, don't worry about not being out partying I was in bed at 11.30pm with the ear plugs firmly in place.
I'm afraid the Party Animal in me was sedated many years ago and I'm more than happy to wake up hangover free each morning !!

I too was in beddy bye by 11pm, my "party" was a nice lap over the mountains on empty, empty roads last night. Woke up at 12 for the local backyard fireworks, but up nice and early today for a beautiful paddle around the local lake in my kayak. Just awesome

Have accepted my "oldness" as I hit 40 this year

Whippersnappers, the lot of you ! (I'll be 56 soon, and the only regret I have is that my body isn't quite as resilient as it used to be )

Well ... I'm not getting into this 'age comparison' thing (seems I lose each time) ... I'm just happy to see another New Years in.

hangover free: its kinda why i make up silly excuses not to hang with my mates on a sunday night- dont wanna be hungover for work monday. i have had the counselling etc that goes with being an alcoholic, and whilst i like to party, it def does feel good to abstain on a sunday

cogdoc: lap over the mountains? geez. im "only" [although i feel weathered already- not by age, but by family deaths, living in different countries etc] 26, but dammit i would take a LAP [nice verbiage, by the way, as i take LAPS through the snowboard park (i.e. up, down, up, down on the same chairlift at the snow, for the sole purpose of hitting/ crashing on the same terrain park kickers)] over mt dandenong WITHOUT cyclists [lol that wont happen soon], than getting tankfaced.

that, was a really long sentence.

and dont ever presume your age. i could kick ALL your asses at the "old-man-ess" accent..... "scscscsooo scscscsson, scscscscshall we go down to the scscscscscshopps scscsschoon?"

                    NOW im silly.

oh, and not to start a flame war....

but god damn, russ- that gt sport simply reaffirms my opinion that gt's look better than golf gti's. that, is gorgeous.

I have to admit there are not a great deal of things you can buy from Shooopper Cheeeeep to suit a VW, I have added a few small finishing touches to mine like the stainless sill plates and some chromed edging around the guards which I think looks excellent and it must look OK because once my 19 yo son saw it he wanted me to fit it to his car for him as well. Thanks for the compliment on the car too, I think it looks great as well and you really don't need to go overboard, IMO they're a very good looking car when they come from the factory.
