regardless of how silly that claim is, diesel does contain more chemical energy, gram for gram, than petrol.

however, i fail to see how that makes it more expensive... its not as if BP actually "put the energy into it". haha!

      Fuelwatch

Dare I say it 1 more time.. logging onto Fuelwatch in WA we can see where the cheapest is locally (or elsewhere if we're going in that direction). Then it's just a case of going there and filling up.

mmm I noticed it was making a small pool underneath the suspension ... hence my question. it was only the froth dripping down. perhaps changed in the mk5 ?

I got mine in Qld for 141.9 inc shopper docket discount. I thought I saw earlier in the day 143.9 minus 4c = 139.9.

          BP Ultimate Diesel was 153.9.

Do you guys use fuel watch site? eg http://www.fuelwatcher.com.au/ or google's.

Yeah, I'm not sure either ... $1.519 at BP Redfern today. I was virtually empty so had no choice but to fill.

Still, $75 to fill - better than the $95 it was costing when it was $1.78xx

I think he means the little hole at the bottom on the outside of the filler neck, not the breather inside the filler neck.

The one on the outside does not go into the tank, its just a drain for water etc.

                          Sunday night
                          BP Normanhurst (independent) still 1.46
                          Caltex down the road 1.49
BP owned at Thornleigh 2k's from Normanhurst 1.51
The two shell servo's at Thornleigh never use as they never have diesel price showing.

The new Normanhurst servo is up and running after refurbishment and
now have Two Diesel bowsers, maybe getting ready for BP ultimate??
